Joe Ink
Joe Ink left Aurora, Colorado at the age of eighteen and ended up in the Boogie Down Bronx in NYC. I got my first exposure to the creative world in New York by designing clothes and logos for a small clothing line on 241st and White Plains Road. From there I ended up doing temporary body art at "Sacred Tattoos" located on Canal street in Manhattan. Making the jump from temporary to permenant body art was relatively easy thanks to the help of Shanghai Kate. She gave me the basic knowledge of how to tattoo and I developed my own methods after that. After spending six years in NYC, I moved back to Colorado with the hopes of one day opening my own tattoo parlor. |
